For a 150 kV high-voltage project for TenneT, Ferris was commissioned by Joulz to deliver the steel structures for component supports, a transformer bay and gantry structures. The scope included the fabrication, corrosion protection, delivery and installation of 40 tonnes of hot-dip galvanised steel structures. The work was carried out in accordance with the end client’s quality requirements, with compliance assured throughout execution by means of an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
The 40 tonnes of steel structures were executed in accordance with EN 1090-1 EXC2, including CE marking, and hot-dip galvanised in accordance with ISO 1461 to ensure maximum durability in a critical energy environment. Installation was carried out in-house by Ferris’ own installation team, using cranes and aerial work platforms supplied by sister company Arentis.
